LONGEST KISS- RECORDS 2011

This determined Thai couple locked lips for 46 hours, 24 minutes and nine seconds to celebrate Valentine's Day in this southern beach resort town, emerging victorious after a "kissathon" organizers claim marked the longest recorded smooch in history.

The previous record of just over 32 hours was set in 2009 by a couple in Germany, according to Guinness World Records, whose officials will have to verify the latest milestone for it to become official.

Measuring in at just 6 inches tall, this diminutive puss has earned herself a coveted spot in the new Guinness World Records 2012 Edition.

Fizz Girl is of the Munchin Cat breed, in which cats are born with unusually short legs.

People often mistake Fizz Girl as a kitten, rather than an adult cat.

Surrey resident Sarwan Singh set a new Guinness Book of World Record by having the longest beard. Singh's beard was measured at 2.36 meters or 7.7 3/4 ft.

The previous record was held by Shamsher Singh of Punjab, India, with a beard last measured at 1.83 metres in 1977.

Chanel Tapper, a student from California, USA, has the world's longest tongue, measuring 9.75 cm (3.8 in), from tip to top lip.

Her lizard-like tongue is twice as long as the average, as long as the world's largest cockroach, as wide as your palm, the same volume as a quarter pounder hamburger and around the same length as an iPhone.

Bridgette (Bri) Jordan, who weighs only 19 pounds at age 22, stands a diminutive-beyond-belief height of 27.2", about the size of a 6 month old baby, while younger brother Bradley (Brad), 20 weighs only 35 pounds and stands just 37" tall

Supatra Sasuphan, 11, suffers from Ambras Syndrome — also known as hypertrichosis or "Werewolf Syndrome" — an extremely rare disease.

Ambras Syndrome, which is caused by a faulty chromosome, is a genetic condition which causes thick hair to grow all over the body and face.

Supatra, from Thailand, is one of only 50 sufferers of Ambras Syndrome documented since the Middle Ages. There is no cure for the disease.

Christine's nails, measuring 10ft 2in (309.8cm) on her left hand and 9ft 7in (292.1cm) on her right hand. The 45-year-old, who is also a talented singer who goes by the stage name "The Dutchess", hasn't cut her fingernails since 1990.

Dev Anand made his debut as an actor with the movie 'Hum Ek Hain'(1946).




In the late forties Dev Anand got a few offers to star opposite singer-actress Suraiya in woman oriented films, as the male lead.




Dev Anand considered himself to be lucky to get a chance to star opposite such an established actress and accepted the offers.

While shooting these films, he became romantically involved with Suraiya.

The two of them were paired in seven films together - 'Vidya' (1948), 'Jeet' (1949), 'Shair' (1949), 'Afsar' (1950), 'Nili' (1950), 'Do Sitare' (1951) and 'Sanam' (1951).




Dev was offered his first big break by Ashok Kumar. He spotted Dev hanging around in the studios and picked him as the hero for the Bombay Talkies production, 'Ziddi', costarring Kamini Kaushal (1948).

SUNNY LEONE IN JISM 2

Mahesh Bhatt has taken special permission to enter the "Bigg Boss" house tomorrow, but not as the new entrant. 

The Bollywood director wants to speak to porn star Sunny Leone about his forthcoming project. "He approached "Bigg Boss" and asked if he could enter the house to discuss " Jism 2" with Sunny. And he has been allowed," said a source, adding, "Since Sunny is also interested in a career in Bollywood, she might be happy to accept the offer."


This is 1st time in Big boss  that a participant has been approached in big boss house only for the new projects.


Sources said that Sunny Leone  has been lined up for more films in Bollywood

Miss India USA 2011

The annual pageant, held on November 20 in New Jersey, saw 23-year-old New Yorker Chandan Preeni Kaur take home the crown.

Royal Albert's Palace in Fords, New Jersey played host to a glamorous wingding on Saturday.

The Miss India USA pageant sees young beauties of Indian origin from across several states in the US compete annually; the winner then receives a shot at the grand Miss India Worldwide crown.

Emerging victorious this year was Miss India New York Chandan Preeni Kaur, a 23-year-old business administration student. Chandan holds a bachelor's degree in the field and is now pursuing her master's. Her hobbies include painting, travelling and cooking.

Chandan received her crown from last year's winner, Natasha Arora, a a third-year student at the University of Texas-Austin.

She will now compete in the international contest for the title of Miss India Worldwide 2011 on February 25, in Suriname.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has given birth to a baby girl

Actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has given birth to a baby girl, the first daughter for the former Miss World and her actor husband Abhishek Bachchan. The delivery took place at the Seven Hills Hospital in Marol, Mumbai.

A proud grandfather, Amitabh tweeted on Wednesday morning, "T 561 - I AM DADA to the cutest baby girl !!"

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai had married on April 20, 2007 as per Hindu customs. The much publicised wedding had taken place in a private ceremony at 'Prateeksha', the Bachchan residence in Juhu, Mumbai.

Twitter has been the speculation ground for the Bachchan baby since long. There have been speculations on the exact date of delivery and the gender of the baby.

An irritated Amitabh Bachchan had even hit back after the interest shown by the media and people by tweeting, "Getting congratulatory messages on Aishwarya delivering a boy !!! Guess they know more than even she does !! False and incorrect news."

Even celebrities did not lag behind in expressing interest about the baby. Renowned novelist Tasleema Nasreen had tweeted that "I love Aishwarya Rai. But when I said 'I wish she would give birth to a baby girl', people asked me, Why do you hate Aishwarya?"

A set of guidelines, issued purportedly by the Broadcast Editors Association, recently surfaced prompting senior Bachchan to deny having tried to influence the coverage of the high profile birth. The much awaited birth of the year has made the child a celebrity in her/his own way.

It will be interesting to see how the Bachchan family will guard the baby from being exposed to the limelight even before it reaches a certain age.

The western world has seen many celebrity children such as David Beckham's son Brooklyn or Brangelina's twins in recent times where the paparazzi have hounded every step of the child and its parents.

A tweet confirming the pregnancy of a leading actress in the industry, perhaps for the first time in cinematic history, made front page news in major national dailies. As the sun sets on the era of star kids, celebrity babies usher in a trend imported from Hollywood show business.

As Bollywood's first family, the Bachchans have always been in the limelight, be it the intense coverage of the Abhi-Ash wedding or Senior B's illness.

As a celeb baby, every moment of its life is going to be of interest, the pregnancy photos, the delivery date, the first baby photos might go to the highest bidder as is the Hollywood trend, the baby's name will have the nation thinking and whether the new born will get the father's height and gait or the mother's looks. And post that, every action, every decision made by the celeb parents for the baby will be news. Tremendous pressure on a new-born isn't it?

The celeb baby phenomenon has just come in to Bollywood. Abhishek and Shweta had star parents as well, as did Esha Deol. But their birth and childhood was never half as high profile.

In the recent past, Ajay Devgan and Kajol's children and Twinkle and Akshay Kumar's son – has been in the news only when spotted with their star-parents. They aren't stars yet. The Abhi-Ash child will come in to an industry that worships the parents and the grandparents.
